Our guest rooms are situated on our Spring Spur property, with beautiful views of Mount Feathertop and the Kiewa Valley. Our guest rooms are designed to give you a sense of privacy with your own sitting area outside each room, surrounded by native gardens and vistas of the surrounding mountains.
We encourage you to take advantage of our facilities. Enjoy a a bottle of wine or cup of tea privately on your verandah or come up to the shared riders lounge and sit around the fire in the colder months or under the cool of the fans in the summer.

Kath and Steve Baird settled in Tawonga with their two young boys Lin and Clay in 1986. They arrived with a truck load of horses and a vision for a family business that would honour the traditions of the High Country horse and offer unique quality visitor experiences. That vision still drives this family business. Spring Spur is truly the home of Bogong Horseback Adventures, the Baird family sanctuary, and for the visitor, a country home away from home.

Spring Spur acknowledges the Dhudhuroa and Jaithmathang peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways on which we live, work and ride. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continuing connection to Country. The alpine landscapes we share with our guests have been walked, managed and celebrated by First Nations peoples for thousands of years, including as part of the annual Bogong moth gatherings on the High Plains. We are committed to caring for this Country as we operate on it.
