Named after a local goldmine tucked away in the nearby mountains, Red is adding his strong Australian Stock Horse bloodlines to the Spring Spur mountain horses, bred and trained here on the stud and in our backyard - the High Country.
Spring Spur acknowledges the Dhudhuroa and Jaithmathang peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways on which we live, work and ride. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continuing connection to Country. The alpine landscapes we share with our guests have been walked, managed and celebrated by First Nations peoples for thousands of years, including as part of the annual Bogong moth gatherings on the High Plains. We are committed to caring for this Country as we operate on it.
