Spring Spur has been training and mentoring riders, guides and horse people since 1986. As a working farm and one of Australia's longest-established High Country horseback adventure operator, we offer hands-on placements and mentorships for students and emerging professionals in the equine and tourism industries.

We also consider applications from those simply looking to build genuine experience with horses and High Country land management, regardless of formal study.

Placements are arranged individually and can range from short work-experience blocks to longer seasonal mentorships, depending on your course requirements and our operational needs. All placement students work under the direct supervision of our experienced trail guides and management team.
Get in touch via the contact form above with a brief outline of your study program or experience goals, your availability, and any relevant qualifications (including First Aid, if held). We'll get back to you to discuss whether a placement is a good fit.
