Job Description
Spring Spur is a family-operated trail riding and farm-stay business in Tawonga, in Victoria's High Country. Since 1986 we've offered guided trail rides, multi-day pack horse treks through the alpine country, and farm-stay accommodation. We're seeking experienced, hands-on riding staff for a 4-week paid trial with the possibility of extension to 3 to 6 months pending suitability and availability. This role is suitable for an individual. This is a varied position combining trail guiding with general hospitality and farm duties — suited to someone comfortable in the saddle and equally happy mucking in around the property. Own accommodation or caravan required, self-catered.
Job Responsibilities
Trail guiding for day rides and multi-day pack horse treks. Stable management and horse husbandry including feeding, grooming, and general horse care. Guest room servicing and laundry. Property upkeep including gardening, fencing, and general farm maintenance.
This is a versatile job, primarily as a trail guide/riding instructor/guest relations, however, there is always opportunities to bring any unique skills you may have to the Spring Spur offerings.

About Us
Spring Spur is home to Bogong Horseback Adventures, an award-winning horseback tourism business offering trail rides and packhorse expeditions into Victoria's spectacular High Country. We breed and train our own herd of over 40 horses using natural horsemanship, and run rides from our family property in Tawonga, where we also offer boutique accommodation and homestyle meals.
The Role
As a Trail Guide, you'll play a key part in delivering safe, high-quality riding experiences across our two-hour, half-day, and full-day ride offerings. Your days will be spent saddling horses, leading guests through stunning mountain tracks, and ensuring the smooth and safe running of every ride.

This role is casual, with shifts allocated weekly on a first-come basis. Morning and afternoon rides, full days, and double shifts available.
