ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

In submitting a booking you acknowledge that you have read and understood all the terms and conditions set out in this document. You have read and understood the important notices regarding bookings, cancellation, insurance, and legal liability. You also understand that you will be required to complete and sign a printed Release and Waiver of Liability at Spring Spur prior to any activity.

All cancellations, postponements, and booking amendments must be requested in writing.

UNIVERSAL TERMS

Non-Refundable Booking Fee

All bookings across all product categories include a non-refundable fee of 5% of the total booking value. This covers merchant fees, payment processing, and administration costs associated with your booking. This fee is retained in all circumstances, including where a full refund is otherwise applicable.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are strictly non-refundable. Gift vouchers may be extended beyond their written expiry date at our discretion, and only if an extension is requested prior to the expiry date. Gift voucher bookings are subject to the same cancellation terms as the relevant product category.

1. DAILY TRAIL RIDES

Payment

- A deposit of 20% of the ride cost is required to secure your booking.
- Full balance is due 14 days prior to the ride date.
- Bookings made within 14 days of the ride date require full payment at the time of booking.

Cancellation and Postponement

More than 14 days prior — Postponement: 15% administration fee.
More than 14 days prior — Cancellation: 50% of ride cost.
14 days or less prior — Cancellation or no-show: 100% of ride cost.

The 5% non-refundable booking fee is retained in addition to the above charges.

2. TOURS, TREKS, CLINICS AND WEEKEND PACKAGES

Payment

- A deposit of 20% of the total cost is required to secure your booking.
- Full balance is due 30 days prior to departure.
- Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.

Cancellation and Postponement

More than 30 days prior — Postponement: 15% administration fee.
More than 30 days prior — Cancellation: 100% of deposit.
30 days or less prior — Cancellation or no-show: 100% of total cost.

The 5% non-refundable booking fee is retained in addition to the above charges.

3. ACCOMMODATION (FARMSTAY)

Standalone farmstay accommodation bookings (not included as part of a tour or package) are offered at two rates. The applicable cancellation policy depends on the rate selected at the time of booking.

Standard Rate

The Standard Rate offers the lowest nightly price with a firm cancellation policy.

- A deposit of 20% of the total accommodation cost is required to secure your booking.
- Full balance is due 14 days prior to check-in.
- Bookings made within 14 days of check-in require full payment at the time of booking.

More than 14 days prior — Cancellation: 100% of deposit.
14 days or less prior — Cancellation or no-show: 100% of total cost.

The 5% non-refundable booking fee is retained in addition to the above charges.

Flexible Rate

The Flexible Rate is offered at a higher nightly price and provides a more lenient cancellation window. Full payment is required at the time of booking.

More than 7 days prior — Cancellation: Full refund minus 5% booking fee.
2 to 7 days prior — Cancellation: 50% refund minus 5% booking fee.
Less than 48 hours or no-show — Cancellation or no-show: No refund.

Accommodation Included in Tours or Packages

Accommodation at Spring Spur that is included in any pack horse tour, trek, clinic, or weekend package is provided as king or twin share and is subject to the cancellation terms of Section 2 (Tours, Treks, Clinics and Weekend Packages), not this section.

4. FUNCTIONS AND EVENTS

Payment

- A deposit of 25% of the total function cost is required to secure your date.
- Full balance is due 30 days prior to the event date.
- Bookings made within 30 days of the event require full payment at the time of booking.

Cancellation and Postponement

More than 60 days prior — Postponement: 15% administration fee.
60 days or less prior — Postponement: 100% of deposit.
More than 60 days prior — Cancellation: 100% of deposit.
60 days or less prior — Cancellation or no-show: 100% of total cost.

The 5% non-refundable booking fee is retained in addition to the above charges.

GENERAL TERMS

Change of Itinerary

Most of our adventures are in remote wilderness areas and Bogong Horseback Adventures reserves the right to alter itineraries for any reason, including but not limited to weather, track conditions, bushfire, or the safety and welfare of guests, staff, and horses. Any personal expenses incurred as a result of delays, alterations, or curtailments caused by such circumstances are your responsibility. Bogong Horseback Adventures reserves the right to alter all prices and itineraries without notice.

Insurance

Bogong Horseback Adventures recommends that all clients take out appropriate travel insurance and, in doing so, check that their policy covers horse riding activities and emergency evacuation charges. All domestic guests should hold current ambulance cover for their state or territory. International guests should hold comprehensive travel insurance with coverage for adventure activities.

Weight Restrictions

Bogong Horseback Adventures has a maximum weight limit of 95 kg for all horse riding activities. If you exceed 95 kg, we may consider a special exception where your height-to-weight ratio meets our requirements — please contact our office to discuss. If you do not meet our weight limit policy, we reserve the right to cancel your booking with no refund.

Minimum Numbers

All rides and tours are subject to minimum numbers. Bookings with a 'Pending' status are not confirmed until minimum numbers are met. If minimum numbers are not met, a credit or full refund will be processed. Once a booking has a 'Confirmed' status, the relevant cancellation terms for that product category are in effect.

Alcohol

We do not permit BYO alcohol at Spring Spur. All drinks served at the Spring Spur Bar are excluded from any itinerary pricing and will be charged at bar prices.
